“This 1985 Kevin Eastman pin-up features a huge image of Raphael leaping heedless into battle among a barrage of arrows. It is a very nice image by the TMNTs co-creator and it is from an early date, less than a year after the groundbreaking release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles spawned an entertainment and marketing machine that continues to this very day to churn out everything from blockbuster movies to breakfast cereal and action figures. This quirky little independent issue also changed the way that collectors and investors thought about the hobby of comic book collecting. Art dating from the early years of the run is extremely coveted and high quality examples are in short supply on the open market. This art is signed and dated at the lower right and has an image area of approximately 8″ x 11″. ”

Greetings!

Well, this Saturday I’ll be roaming around both at JetPack Comics in Rochester, NH as well as Shellback Artworks in Wells, ME.

I’ll be around in a black shirt and red hair bandanna taking photos – if you see me, stop over and say hi!

For those that can’t be in the Northeast, I’ll be doing a write-up on the day, and review on the new TMNT Animated Adventures comic, and whatever else I can find… maybe a giveway, if I can beat the crowds.

The NH co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be the guest of honor for this years Rochester, NH Free Comic Book Day Festival. People are flying in from all over the country to meet this superstar. We expect the lines to be long so we are going to have to place limits on how many things you can get signed. If you have more than the limit please feel free to jump back in line and do it all over again. We just want to be fair to everyone that wants to visit Kevin. PLEASE NOTE: Sketches will not be available that day. Too many people and not enough time. Of course there will be a vendor table of great Eastman works that you can get signed at the event hall.

Greetings,

.. .. Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 4th. Our Hours are 11:00am – 8:00pm. and the event hours are 12:00 noon to 6:00pm.

We will have lots of give-a-ways, Raffles, Food, Fun, and Lots and Lots of Free Comics!

We’re expecting the General Lee Car from Dukes of Hazard.

We are expecting characters from Star Wars and Star Trek, along with some of the ladies from the tv show Super Hero 101.

We’ll have balloons, Limited Ed. T-Shirts for FCBD, face painting, portrait sketches, along with some of the Cowboys of Moo Mesa coloring books Signed and Numbered by Creator Ryan Brown that I saved from last year for this year. They all have a special TMNT sketch on the back cover just for Free Comic Book Day!

We also have an AWESOME Signed Hand Drawn Sketch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s Leatherhead w/ Raphael by Bruce Hatten and Ryan Brown himself which will be raffled off at the end of the day. We will also be running our Huge Toys Time Forgot’s Super Sale that day on all comics, toys, and limited edition statues! ..
