TMNT #1 CGC 9.8 sells for record $22,752.00

The first ever sale of a TMNT #1 in 9.8 has just concluded at Pedigree Comics auction! It shattered the record of just over $11,000 for a 9.6 a few years back. There is one other 9.8 out there that one day may eclispse this sell. Needless to say, this is the most money every spent on a single Turtles comic.
Other notable sales from that auction include strong numbers for a #3 9.6 Double Cover $426 and #3 9.6 NYCC Variant for $1350.

  1. Nice 3rd print. Does the buyer know he bought a mislabeled comic by CGC? You can tell by the amount of red color (blood) on the sword in the middle “T” of Turtles. This means it is 3rd print not 1st print and is effectively worth about $200 not $22,000……….

I would be pi$$ed if it were me but when you spend this much money on something you really need to do your homework.
