It’s good to have the one and only classic Military Mutant Yankee Doodle Raph on your side. His ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War – and that’s how he got his good ol’ American name. Yankee Doodle Raph represents all that’s right with out heritage – apple pie, pizza pie, octipi… and all that other stuff. The Foot will retreat when this rebel with courage comes forward. Raph’s ready with his Foot firin’ flint pistol and reptile rifle – with weapons so radical, the Foot will surely stay away from the sewers. So let the drum and fife play loud and play proud. Yankee Doodle Raph can’t be stopped, cuz he marches over all borders with good on his side!

He’s off key, but in tune with Turtle Power! He’s Kookie Kavalry Leo, the reveille blowin’ battle boy who can lead a kowabunga charge right into the hideous heart of the Foot camp. No Turtle troop is safe without this left-handed leader swingin’ his way into untamed territory. He’s a Mutant marksman with his powder packed pistol – a classic Mutant military weapon so powerful, some say it blew the hole into the Grand Canyon. Wow! Now that’s a weapon! And once the Foot have been horse-whipped, Leo likes to wave his kowabunga katana blade banner around just to let everyone know he’s one tough cookie. With all these wacky weapons, you can be sure this military master’s got it all under control. So listen closely, cuz when you hear reveille, it’s time to join Leo and charge, charge, charge!

–>> One of two Turtles collector cases made by Tara i know of. The slightly larger 1990 “DELUXE” TMNT case boasts holding 20 figures and has more familiar Lavigne/Brown style guide art decor.

It came without the cheap plastic handle the deluxe case has ( or similar, vintage collector cases for like Hot wheels, Real Ghostbusters, He-Man or G.I. Joe. ect. also made by Tara ).

Those handles are awful anyway and in my experience with them when i was a boy was that they always fell out if TOO MUCH WEIGHT of the toys within’ gave gravity the advantage. The dang case would fall off from the handle in transit with dropping the case on the ground. Sometimes the case would open spilling the toys.

The top inner tray was the most damaged and is still cracked, but the worst of the cracks have been repaired with some household epoxy and clear packing tape.

Initially for years the handle i had used an old ribbon that just didn’t really quite work well as a holding mechanism and looked like crap.

Within’ the past year i replaced the ribbon with a jury-rigged handle made from shipping twine & and a broken piece of an old leather belt.
