Now through March 15, Turtle fans can watch the special one-hour premiere Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, “Battle for New York” exclusively on Nick.com and the Nick App ahead of its on-air debut Sunday, March 15, at 11:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. During the episode, Leo doesn’t trust Slash when he emerges leading a team called the “Mighty Mutanimals.” While the Mighty Mutanimals lay siege to the Techno Cosmic Research Institute, the Turtles must brave the bizarre world of Dimension X to save the enslaved people of New York.

Throughout March, Turtle enthusiasts can participate in “TMNT Mutation Madness,” an interactive bracket-style tournament that will give fans everywhere a chance to cast their votes in four rounds of mutant match-ups counting down to the Ultimate Mutant Champion.  While Nicktoons airs mutant-driven Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes, the tournament starts online with sixteen mega-mutants including: Fishface, Spider Bytez, Tiger Claw, Slash, Bebop and Rocksteady, among others competing for the title of Ultimate Mutant Champion.  As part of Nicktoons’ “Mutation Madness” each round, will reveal the brackets narrowing from 16 to 8 to 4 to 2, with the Ultimate Mutant Champion debuting March 23.  Along with casting a vote every round, fans can enter special sweepstakes for prizes and unlock exclusive content to learn more about each mutant through bios, gifs, images and videos.  ..

–>> I believe this was added to one of the extra “TURTLE FORCE” fan club kits i ordered in the mid-1990s. I’ve always had a feeling however that it may have been part of another cable premium or promotion from SHOWTIME. I think perhaps as a advertising tool for showing one or both of the original TMNT films on either Showtime or TMC or both. Maybe these were standard or extra door hangers acquired by the company that ran the fan club to send to new members who purchased a kit.

That’s just speculation however, “Dude”.

Playmates "touching-up" previous waves..

  • Got this in from a friend back East; i believe located in Georgia at a TARGET store, thanks Dakota ::   Reissues of figures from prior TMNT waves such as Cockroach Terminator ( shown in the screencap from the friend on Instagram above), Dogpound, Leatherhead, and Snakeweed and maybe others – – have been reported to have newer paint applications and deco that looks much more improved and somewhat similar to their prototype predecessors. Playmates’s scale with the Turtles line has been an ever present issue – – but these newer paint decos on the older releases may make up for the line’s short comings. So again, keep an eye out.

Previews are out, books are on the shelves and reviews are popping up so I feel there’s no need to hold this back.
Metalhead’s redesign for IDW’s TMNT! Had fun with this one! As you may see on his debut book (TMNT#34) the speeder/car mode was something that I suggested and writer Tom Waltz and editor Bobby Curnow embraced.

My goal here was to not only give this version of the character a voice and look of its own, but also to pay a homage to the original design. Mission accomplished I believe.

Things are gettin’ crazy since Paramount’s slowly lifted the sewer lid full or worms and wonderful things in regards to the new Turtle Flick. Some are excited and some are leery ( and well every other opinionated end of the spectrum you can think of ).

Post the MTV music awards   — more and more we’re getting previews n’ snippets of all sorts.

New Logo and Movie Pics abound!

Hey everyone!

If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s all here… we’ve finally caught glimpse of the new Logo, which looks Very nice, and we’ve been treated to peeks of April, some well-known co-workers, trampolines and Three of our Mo-Capped Turtles in a wicked bad situation. I just had to pull away from FCBD stuff to share this – It’s comin’ out of the woodwork!
