All of you probably already knew this, but It just dawned on me last night. Everyone knows that child star Corey Fieldman is the voice of Movie Donnie in 2 of the 3 movies, right? But did you know that Mikey was voiced by a child star as well. Robbie Rist, the voice of Mikey in all 3 of the liver action Turtle films is probably best know as Cousin Oliver on The Brady Bunch. Now I know a lot of you are saying, “No duh, Jester! It’s IMDB, my bizarre compadre.” But let me tell you how I finally came to the realization myself just yesterday. (I know it’s kind of embarrassing.)
So I was watching Revenge of the Nerds (Panty Raid Edition) with my fiance. (Her idea, in fact she talked me into buying the title in the first place.) and after thoroughly enjoying the movie, I decided to watch the TV pilot and as the credits rolled I noticed Cousin Oliver and read the name Robbie Rist and, to paraphrase Donna-Fieldman from Turtles 3, “the name rang a bell,” but I didn’t put 2 and 2 together to quickly until I heard him talk. Here’s the clip that did it for me:
So it was at that moment it clicked…kinda sad huh? So there you have it a TOTALLY RANDOM TURTLE RELATED TV NUGGET!!
