Whilst having a clear-out, I came across this postcard from an old collection.
UK art retailer Athena at one stage had a wide range of Hallmark style shops across the UK dealing in various print media. During the original ‘Hero Turtles’ craze the company produced a range of Posters, Postcards, Greeting Cards and Plastic wallet size cards featuring in-house produced artwork of the brothers.
With the postcard pictured above, you can see UK censors have also been at it again. Donatello’s bo-staff has been edited out and replaced with a long piece of jerky.
