** Local Boy Gets His Own Action Figure
Bloomington, Minn. (WCCO) ― Tyler Kloss of Minnetonka Beach, Minn. is a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. Now he’s a mutant himself.
Kloss won a national contest to be the model for the cartoon’s latest action figure. He won the contest through a random drawing.
The 12-year-old was presented with the new toy Sunday at the Mall of America.
Since Kloss is from Minnetonka Beach, the character is called the Minnetonka Mutant.
“It’s like a mutant cockroach,” Kloss said. “His head flips up, and it looks like me. It’s cool.”
“How many kids have dreamed of being a superhero? We thought to be a promotion winner and to be an action figure would be the coolest thing we could do,” Playmates Toys’ Kerry Goletz said. “We’ve never done it before.”
The Minnetonka Mutant isn’t just an action figure. It’s also a character on the cartoon series, which is airing now. He’s a “bad guy” on the series.

–>> ..while 2005 did see the interesting vehicle release of Prime Leader Zanramon’s personal Triceraton Space Cruiser ( remember, the Turtle’s hi-jacked it in the show to escape their Tri-horned enemies ?? ).
Zanramon himself was oddly only depicted in one figural form on a 2004, Beyblade-like TURBO BASHER battle top toy release.
Ousted Triceraton politicians don’t get no respect.
