Holy Crap! Shirts!

100_2546

Hooray! Just in time! The shirts that I am handing out at SDCC as gifts have arrived! These shirts feature the GGM mascot robots which were Designed, penciled, and inked by Steve Lavigne. As these are gift versions of the shirt, there is no web address for GGM or any other advert on them. These are the only 11 shirts (Plus the hoodie I had made for MEEEEEE) that will ever be made without the web address, in an attempt to make them feel more exclusive. So…how do you get one? Erm…well…you pretty much don’t. Unless you’ve already been allocated a shirt, your torso won’t be blessed with one of these (Although not everyone who is getting a shirt, KNOWS they are getting one yet! BWAHAHA). Sorry!

However, if you really, REALLY want a shirt (as in you would definitely 100% pay $20 for one if I had more made), then send me an email, and I will put you on a list. Once I have 12 people, I will put in another order. The only difference would be that yours would have the web address somewhere on the shirt as well as the graphic.

Vac-Metal Fugitoid Update!

shiny_Fugitoid4_sma

So after Dave’s post about the Vac-Metal Fugitoid pre-order and subsequent removal of the listing, I got a little suspicious. I shot an e-mail over to the Playmates TMNT brand manager:

Today one of my writers spotted a Pre-Sale for the Chrome Fugitoid you guys prototyped for Peter. But just as soon as we posted the link, the product was taken down. So I thought I would come directly to you and ask? Are there plans for the release of the Chrome Fugitoid? He is, after all, one of the most anticipated TMNT collector’s figures of all time. The community is buzzing.

And he responded with great news!

We will be releasing this figure on a very limited basis. You will be able to purchase the figure from retailers that purchase from Diamond Comics distributors. Generally smaller specialty shops. I should be able to get you a list of stores in the coming weeks.

So there you have it. The shiny Toid IS scheduled for release (as of now). We will of course, keep you updated.

Very big thanks to all the Playmates folks that have been gracious enough to grant us such unfettered communication! We at GGM, as well as our readers, really appreciate the camaraderie.

BREAKING NEWS: Playmates Will Not Move Forward With Mirage or Music Turtles

DSCN6935

In an E-mail we recieved this morning from the TMNT brand manager of Playmates Toys, we were informed that Playmates has made the decision to NOT release the Mirage Universe or Music Turtles. Additionally we were given an estimated release for the next wave of vintage figures:

The last wave of 4 figures will depend on retailer demand, but should be out by October:
Foot Ninja
Shredder
Casey Jones
Slash

In addition, in August we will be releasing the Original Party Van at Toys R Us.

I know that a number of you were really looking forward to the Mirage releases, and I am sorry we have to bring this news to you. But better sad news rather than no news right?

From Stephan: There is also a girls version available on the site, as well as a VERY limited edition poster (editions of 78). These are basically the left overs from the posters that were for sale at the movie event, so once they are gone, you’ll never see them again!
