“DAWN OF THE NINJA TURTLES”

–>> It’s time of great transition for the TMNT property and fans as whole .

With television, movie, video game & merchandising rights all but guaranteed ( or should is say GUARANTEED ?? ).. there are many fears of what will come giving the uncertainty of what will happen to the TMNT’ hard core & original, Turtle comic book origins. So many questions surrounding the dealings of the past couple of weeks here.

Do Nick and Viacom risk alienating the Mirage Turtle comic book fans ?! Will Paramount be able to really deliver the hard edged TMNT film so many fans have dreamed of for so very long ?! At this point, do they even care ?!

Despite this rough transitional period .. there is a group of creative ,young individuals solely devoted to the original comic origins and the push to adapt those original tales for the Turtles 5th big screen venture.

A bold proclamation and a brave one in these uncertain TMNT times.

Check out their vision statement ::

“From a love and passion for the story that made Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles great, we wanted to create a vision of the Turtles that was true to the original material and contained everything we wanted to see. Incidentally, this directly corresponds to what we know the audience wants to see based on our research. The vision we have created not only exceeds the expectations of the audience, but also maintains the quality and integrity of Laird and Eastman’s original vision. By bringing sophisticated, dark, and gripping story elements to the Turtles’ universe, we are able to achieve a level of excellence we know everyone can appreciate.

By using a vast timeline, we are able to keep an exciting pace while simultaneously eliminating unnecessary dead time by focusing our efforts on the most exciting pieces of the story. Beginning in Japan, we provide a history of Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki that propels the story into a refreshing perspective on the true origins of the turtles. This structure creates a natural environment to fully explore the most profound moments in the characters’ lives.

Regardless of the story’s fabrication and with meticulous attention to the detail of every character, when they are pushed beyond their natural limits, the outcome is always exhilarating. This enables us to humanize the characters at a level that everyone can relate to, creating truly incredible action fueled by unrestrained imagination and originality. It is a universe simple enough for a child, refined enough for the critic, and filled with easter eggs for the loyal fans.”

Could this be the potential gritty direction and future for TMNT films within the upcoming relaunch in a couple of years here ?! Or just a brave and creative dream ?!

And is anyone at Paramount, involved with the next Turtle film listening ?!

They just might be.

We’ll see ..

  1. So now we have a name… well I hope it lives up to wait they say it will be 🙂

I am nervous though, I hope they understand that every TMNT fan has HIGH expectations and are ready to be blown away…

    Here’s hoping they don’t screw up :D!

  2. I’m very interested in this… I checked out the site – it’s quite a fun read. The explanation of the mutation alone is worth reading.

My hope is to get a good Japanese-inspired score, as opposed to the “Band of the Week” treatment…

  3. Hey Guys,

    Thanks for the support =D.

I am Steve (the co-visionary) of the newer darker TMNT movie. Thanks for your interest in the film.

We work hard to update the site weekly with new articles. We currently have a Interview video in the works =D. Hopefully if time and money allows we will have some more artwork as well.

So far our vision is that of a fan site. But with our hard work + fan support we hope to bring this vision to the next TNMT universe =D.

Thanks for your support. We do this for the fans =D

    Have a great week.

    -Steve

  4. I hope ya’ll arn’t confused and think this is the movie Nick is in talks of making, this is just a fan-fic… This movie does sound great and I hope they can put something together even if it’s lower budget and made entirely by fans… There are some really good Star Wars and Batman fan films, don’t see why there couldn’t be a TMNT…

  5. –>> Steve, i think you and your guys’ type of strong , Fan- vision and optimism is needed now more than ever ..and it’s imperative.

    We’ll watch this closely !!

  6. Hey Steve, welcome to our lil corner of the web! 🙂

Whether it’s a fan-film or a major production, it’s always fun to watch the creative process. I do hope you and your crew’ll stop in more often…

  7. Thanks for the Invite.

For the first part of our vision we wanted to Flush out every single idea that could possible come up =D. That way when we went out and did the website Luke and I were on the same page.

I loved the ninja turtles growing up. It was the first VHS tape I bought when I was in the first grade. I remember paying 10 bucks for it.. Which was ALOT of money to me. But I watched the first video over and over again.

Its very encouraging seeing you running this website =D Thanks for the wonderful support.

  8. –>> You’re welcome ,Steve.

    Please keep it up !!

(( i am particularly encouraged by Baxter’s and Saki’s, and Nagi’s roles in the story. ))

  9. Thanks for all the encouragement guys! We have put a lot of time into this project over the last four years. Our goal is very simple, to get a chance to pitch our vision to the studios. We are not attempting to make a fan film, because we do not have the budget or time to do it justice.

We attempted to contact Mirage through various channels back in 2008, but because we are unsolicited they were not willing to meet with us, which is understandable. Our hope is that through all the time and hard work we have put into this that the studio will eventually take notice of what we have done and take us seriously.

I strongly believe in what we have written and will do everything in my power to ensure the next TMNT film is what we have all been waiting to see.

  10. Man I hope this works out. And I really don’t want to wait. Anybody have a time machine that they’re not using right now???
