International Edition Mouser Update – Shipped

This all happened very quickly.

Several days ago, Sideshow sent out a mailer to its list about a second run of the SDCC Exclusive Mousers. These new mousers are identical to the SDCC Mousers, aside from it saying “International Edition” on the base. This new batch of Mousers are also limited to 250 (mine is 208, so I assume they sold out the same day the e-mail went out).

Price: $110.88 after tax and shipping
Edition Size: 250

Fortunately, I live about 40 minutes away from the Sideshow Warehouse, so I got my statue today!

International Edition Sideshow Mouser

So this popped into my inbox at 6:30 this morning. It looks like they are doing a second cast of the Comic-Con Mouser. According to the e-mail they are changing the base of the statue to reflect the new edition size. So those of you who wanted two or more mousers for your sideshow collection, may now be able to do so. The e-mail says its a first come first serve thing, and it looks like this deal is only through e-mail, as the statue is not listed on the sideshow website.

First Look at the Nickelodeon Turtles

The Wall Street Journal published an article this week talking about the reboot of the TMNT franchise. While the article itself really doesn’t carry anything new and exciting for us, it was accompanied by the image you see above. Powder of the Technodrome was able to confirm that this image is the first official Turtles image to come from Nickelodeon (confirmed by Alex Deligiannis, who is an artist involved in the production of the show).

So, what do you guys think?

TMNT Treasures: Original Shredder Concept Drawing

Arriving at the house today is one of the most significant art pieces to the TMNT in my collection.

This is the original concept art for the Shredder. Pre-dating TMNT #1, this art was used as a style guide by Kevin and Peter as they drew him in his first comic book appearance.

Acquiring something like this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am thrilled to have been able to make this happen.

Here is a quick note from Kevin about the piece:

Although there were a few other concept sketches of the Shredder around this time–once Peter and I agreed on the “look” I draw this character sheet we could use for reference while drawing the first issue–so we would know how many razors on each arm or leg as we worked through different poses in the book.

A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in making this deal happen.
