Update: Season Two Premieres Oct. 12th @ 11am

Hello, fellow Machines!

We finally have the first two episodes for the new season! TVGuide has provided our first sneak peek clip, as well as other insight on upcoming characters:

Gotta catch em all! You can really see how much the animation's improved this coming season

The premiere appears to be an hour long special called “The Mutation Situation”. Looks like it’s going to be raining ooze canisters all over New York, which is the start of a FLOOD of new mutant critters gallumping through the Big Apple… some familiar names and some new faces!

“Joining the cast this season is Josh Peck (Drake & Josh), who voices teenage hockey player Casey Jones, a rebel who enjoys taking on the bad guys. TMNT also stars Sean Astin (as Raphael), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Jason Biggs (Leonardo), Mae Whitman (April O’Neil), Hoon Lee (Master Splinter) and Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder). Corey Feldman recurs as Slash.”

The second episode is going to be what seems to be a bit of an Alien homage called, “Invasion of the Squirrelanoids”.The mutagen madness makes it way into the sewers, and creates some hellishly scary lil woodland creatures. Or maybe this is just what Splinter looks like getting up on the wrong side of the bed…

We’re gonna have a great opening to the new season, so gather your friends, kids, parents, fellow turtle fans, plant your butt cannons on the couch and start the countdown!

(I have no idea if this clip is actually part of this episode, but I couldn’t resist…)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Season Three DVD set

Greetings, fellow Machines!

Well, I received an interesting E-mail today…
Apparently the sales of the Old Toon DVD sets were in such major demand back in the several years it took to get Everything released. A lot of seasons were broken up into multiple DVDs, and you eventually had a huge stack of these DVDs that encompass ten years and over a hundred episodes.

Well, Lionsgate decided to go back to the third season and do some revamps. Since there were forty-seven episodes in the single season, they had originally done multiple DVDs with single episodes. Now they’ve gone back and consolidated all 47 episodes into a four DVD season set:

Program Description

Cowabunga! Everybody’s favorite pizza-devouring crime fighting classic turtles are back when Lionsgate Home Entertainment releases Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 3 on DVD July 23. This collection brings together for the first time all 47 episodes of the entire third season of the classic ‘80s TV series in a 4-disc DVD set. Tap into radical turtle power and relive all the kung-fu action when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 3 arrives for the suggested retail price of $19.98.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are bursting straight out of the sewer and ready for some mind-blowing mutant-morphing pizza-powered action! Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardocontinue their epic quest to battle evil in this Complete Season 3 Collection, featuring 47 out-of-the-shell episodes. Join the green machine and their friends as they help to save the world against Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady – one slice at a time.

And it’s a good season… you’ve got episodes like The Old Switcheroo, Enter the Rat King, Four Musketurtles (my personal favorite), Cowabunga Shredhead…

So keep your eyes peeled! I’ll be getting more info as July approaches. 🙂

Movie News: All four turtles casted!

Hey all!

Well, we’ve just gotten ourselves an update today, courtesy of JoBlo:

Last week, the first of the four NINJA TURTLES in the Michael Bay-produced reboot was cast, bringing in former Aquaman Alan Ritchson for the role of Raphael.  Now, the other three turtles have filled their shells, with Pete Ploszek (Parks and Recreation) playing the leader, Leonardo, Jeremy Howard (Breaking Bad) taking on the bo-staff wielding Donatello, and Noel Fisher (BATTLE: LOS ANGELES) portraying the wise-cracking Michelangelo. All of the actors are new on the scene, which was probably a big consideration when the studio addressed the budgetary issues a while back, causing the film to be delayed. It makes perfect sense, really, especially when the actors will be virtually unrecognizeable as themselves anyway.

(Picture belongs to the JoBlo Network, with much appreciation! Now let’s see how long it takes for TMNT fans to start Turtlizing these guys’ faces…)

According to the article, the movie is slated to come out in June 6, 2014. Now we just have tto wait and find out about Splinter, Shredder, and possibly Casey Jones…

Enjoy!
