These two little beauties have been sitting on a pile of folders containing much of the untold toy history in my archive for a while now. With the pending documentary looming far away, I thought I’d share a sneak peek. These are part of a privet collection, so I think at some point I will have to return them, but they are living at my house for now. They are the two original casts of the first Turtle sent to Playmates and the original Rocksteady, these are the FIRST original concept toys, there was one other concept Turtle that was a little taller, but I’m not sure if it still exists. In fact until I got these a couple months ago I wasn’t sure if the rocksteady existed anymore. Sorry its a crappy cell phone picture upload… but I don’t want to show you too much until you see it in the doc hahaha.
Like I say there is also a large stack of files containing the untold story of the Turtle Toy line and its history. This content was sitting in a box in storage for over 20 years until an associate of mine dug it out to share with us in the Turtle Doc. On that note, I hope I can tell you more about the future of the doc and its archive contents very soon. Keep posted to the drome and right here on GGM! Thanks all!
