The 2013 helmet for Rock was almost a good fit, but the 2019 figure’s head is a little larger than the somewhat leaner ’13 figure noggin, so the helmet is not of the best fit . Remolding, slight flattening, and cell-style color paint matching presents an almost near perfect, TMNT season one screen-accurate look for the mutant Rhino.

Meat Sweats is a one-PIG Foodie “POUND PATROL” For Baron Draxum and a premier Mutant for the new Rise of the TMNT toy line !!

On the show, Johnny Rotten voices a real Power House of a villain, done in the spirit of the classic “TMNT 80s Toy Line Wackiness” – has quickly become a fan favourite !! It’s also noted that the Veteran TMNT design team at Varner Studios took an instant liking to the Big Guy’s pudgy-power look as well !!

RISE-MEATSWEATS_TURN test .. imperfect, but here is Tokka’s first toy – video turn around of this big ham .

In autumn and winter of 2018; two versions of the Meat Sweats split between the U.S. and Canada /Euro ‘Spin Masters’ releases of the toy included either a “Mutated Hand” or “Tentacle” accessory to interchange with his right Metal fist bracer !!

..Meatsweats absorbs his enemies’ powers with his awful hands. When he removes his protective bracers, the danger he poses is amplified to 2000 !!

He also includes his frightening “Tenderizer” weapon and signature apron.

A small custom “bloody” paint job was done by me as well as on his tow nails & weapon handle. These usually come unpainted.

Variations on his “pants” also exist with portions under the apron coming painted or umm .. “au natural”. >XP

You can twist him around. He’s spry with 8 articulation points at the : neck, hinge joints at the shoulders, elbows, hip and thigh, waist. And of coarse his powerful bracer gloves and removable tentacle/ hand move 360 at the wrist.

Currently, both HAND and Tentacle versions of our Piggy pal are showing up stateside. I am unsure of the boxed quantities in any given shipment nationally or internationally. Although, recently on a Target store visit, i saw one of each variant on the pegs. So i am gonna it is two variants per case.

In preparation for my return to GGM and feature posts, i have been scanning both new and older TMNT product, toy packaging and adding older and new photos from my backlog on my old hard drive. There is about close to 6 years of backlogged images intended for potential posts on GGM or at least just for archiving and sharing with fellow TMNT fans.
The t2z- Flickr account has been a great success for millions to access my archives. Unfortunately the rampant abuse and stealing of my images got WAYYYY out of control years ago and backfired me. I have a little bit better grip on watermarks and Creative Commons rights sharing anymore so i have a bit more confidence with scanning and sharing again. The Dune-drivin’, Sand-Surfin’ Beach Machine

Whoa, dude! Grab your board and slip into some skimpy shorts, cuz Mike’s takin’ his Kowabunga Surf Buggy to blue heaven, curl city, water wonderland – you know, the beach. Strap yourself in and take the most radical ride of your young life as Mike drives off dunes and skids in sand. But don’t worry, the sand skiddin’ traction tires never lose their grip. And with the reciprocatin’ surfboard bumper, bumps bite it before you ride it. While Raph fires on the Foot with the soakin’ soda can machine guns, you can chill it, and snag yourself a sand snack or some frozen fire power from the chillin’ ammo chest. What if the Foot don’t fall, you say? Well, keep it cool, cuz if Raph don’t fizz ’em, then you can slam and jam ’em with the detachable spiked beach ball bomb. And to end your bodacious day at the beach, you can watch Mike waste some waves on the Surf Buggy’s wave wackin’ super surfboard. Kowabunga, Dudes!

Let’s cut to the chase so i can get this out of the way, “RISE OF THE TMNT” is all the talk GOOD AND BAD of coarse on the interwebs. I’ll discuss this past week’s leak briefly i can and elaborate a bit of what i personally know.

  • The “Tumbling Turtle” Tumblr blog released this supposed licencing expo cell pic that kinda weren’t supposed to release. Tokka had seen this  a couple months back but remained quiet as i was still trying to process how i would phrase what i have learned about the Toonier Andy Suriano inspired designs of the new show. In the end i was specifically trying to time it out as long as possible as to not get in the way of the official NICKELODEON reveal and to not get anyone in trouble ( . and for respect of the Nickelodeon group whom i have to high regards for at this point, sorry). This person has been trying to pry as much info as they could out of me for a number of months now. Being the pussycat that i am, i was trying to be polite as i could without spilling everything i learned. The stress from the pressure from was barely averted – but here we are at the official reveal.

  • Sha-T'o, the FOOT Water MYSTIC :: Season 1 { " Return to New York parts 1 - 3 " } [[ Courtesy 4kids TMNT Blog ]]

Echoes of prior animated productions like Lloyd Goldfine’s 2003 4KIDS TMNT show take shape in Ant Ward’s newer 2D production, the Foot Clan may seem to emanate newer powers, “MIST – LIKE” powers not to dissimilar from the FOOT MYSTICS in the 2k3 toon. Be that in “magical powers” in general or in teleportation remains to be seen.

 


  • TMNT: Back to the Sewer :: Ancient One [[ Courtesy 4kids B T T S Blog ]]    Sean Schemmel’s “THE ANCIENT ONE” from TMNT 2k3 , Splinter’s  super-elder sensei looks to be a slight influence on Rise’s Eric Bauza Splinter. Prolly will be a more serious character than the “eternally youthful” teacher. Then again, if you know Eric  – – Splinter may be even more fun & humorous than we think !! !!

  • Some of the new designs of the most iconic villains in the RISE – show remind me of classic, cartoon “EXECUTIONER” tropes.

  • An all new cybernetic, corpulent mutant villain of gargantuan proportions may come to play in this new series. Could this be one of Maurice LaMarche’s hillariously disturbing vocal roles  ( as part of one of the veteran TMNT VAs brought in by Rob Paulsen !! ) ?!

I’ll elaborate more when i feel comfortable to do so, when it is appropriate and won’t get in Nickelodeon’s way. We’ll see.

An honor to have legendary #Comicbook artist and #imperialvalley #holtville native DAVE GARCIA #davegarcia coming to this years #imperialvalleycomiccon Dave has worked on such classics as the #teenagemutantninjaturtles series from #Archie #thetick and is the co creator of #pandakhan which became a action figure in the #TMNT #playmates figure line in the 80s and 90s. –>> Hey, Snapper-Keepers and Turtle Legions – happy Solar Eclipse Day, hope it ECLIPSES Tokka’s grumpy birthday. Been struggling for weeks to come up with as decent post to start this final quarter year of incredible contention off to a decent start. Especially when the final quarter of LAST year ended in such a hostile thud. And that kinda happened to everyone.

t2z - the tOkKA bootlegz :: MONI-ONI iIn the uncertain cloud of smoke many of us get lost in  — in the “War of Words”, it’s a good time for your old snapper-pal here to take stock of the good things past & present while moving forward. I’m not good with mincing cliches, but if they are true – what can ya do ??

t2z - the tOkKA bootlegz :: MONI-ONI iiThat being stated – 2016 wasn’t ALL bad. ’16 marked a pivotal year in many regards for the world, on a personal level – – i personally was given solace in some regards to the difficult path i’ve chosen to continue on into my 20th year in industry.

SDCC 2016 :: SDCC 2016 :: Gwendoline Yeo with Tokka & "MONI-ONIskateboardSpecifically with Nickelodeon’s TMNT Animation & Vocal Talent team. Two examples included here are part of that constant distribution of my work to industry talent, writers, designers, acting talents, charity causes, ect. This has to an important aspect on perspective i’m trying top take into 2018. If you reading this can get something inspirational out of this or at least something positive internally, all the better.

The deck posted above was made specifically for Gwendoline Yeo. Many know my obsession with TMNT villain lore, and  the latest FOOT CLAN addition to the animated canon is Gwendolin’s Shinigami.  Likely taking slight design influence from the FOOT CLAN MYSTICS, Shini is becoming an important foil and ally to both the Teen Turtle Team and the Foot Clan itself. All good, bad, lethal humorous, lovely, and loyal to her best friend, Karai.

Details in the first and second quarters of last year about her character were rather nil at least design wise with her general look. Tho’ SHINIGAMI is an important  type of spirit in Japanese culture and in religious beliefs. Also being made popular in Anime & Manga franchises like DEATH NOTE, these “gods of death” seem to have a very mysterious and antagonizing name, so i chose 1/2 and 1/2 portrait of a menacing ONI ( the famous Yokai of Japanese lore ) to face off against Raphael, as a menacing substitute to absence of design reference for the beautiful, funny but deadly Shini.

Making people happy and helping as many as i can. I’m going to try, in the coming months to do more ground work for the Hero Initiative as well.

The second deck here was granted to friend & supporter Sean Astin, who is the recipient of many “TOKKA” works, even a couple to honor his legendary actress of a Mom. The great Patty Duke !!

Gwendoline Yeo eventually did receive her legitamate Tokka designed “Shinigami “skatedeck this summer.

Another TMNT comic project from the influencial & infamous A. Modeen. His non-canon TMNT, indy-comic stories, particularly this one invites back Mirage Studios talent Jim Lawson, Dan Berger & others – these hypothetical adventures are so close to the creators’ original MIRAGE canon, they become a “Hypothetical – canon” & might as well be CANON. He’s the scoop on his latest project.

From the same team that brought you the Image TMNT conclusion (Vol. 3 #24 & 25) as well as “TMNT: Odyssey” comes a brand new graphic novel. This one takes place after a couple of years after Mirage TMNT Vol. 4, with Donatello leading an excursion to the center of the universe both to save it (an unknown energy is breaking down all life on a cellular level) as well as get answers for himself, his brothers and the others in his group along the way. Answers will be had, secrets revealed and consequences will be suffered.

 

TOKKA may have missed the draw on this one, as when this post publishes, this Passion Project of TMNT & TICK alumn, Dave Garcia may be up & plumb out of juice. But it’s not like Dave to just up and keel over like a dead horse at a dried up waterin’ hole.
